New ways of making shelter, food, clothing, and communications,
and of healing, manufacturing and transport, that do not harm the earth Ò
New skills in governing ourselves, from the lowest to the highest

From the least to the most affluent, people are realigning
their values, claiming their power, finding sustainable ways to survive,
connecting with others from afar and stretching their ability to
collaborate. As these new ways spread and evolve, they throw open a
compelling vision of how we might yet shape the emerging global society,
harnessing its dynamism, even its dangers, into a force potent enough to
remake our world and make possible a livable future. But
how do we build our capacity, as individuals and as a society, to realize this
possibility?
